ECO BUNGALOW PROJECT LAOS

The Eco-Bungalow Project

Students participating in the Service Learning Project project will build and develop an Adobe clay Eco- Bungalow that will be rented to visiting ecologically minded tourists. The bungalow will provide one village in the Luang Prabang district the opportunity to generate their own alternative income from small scale tourism. Since the culture and traditions of the village should be respected and maintained a limited number of visitors per day are granted stay in the bungalow.

"I loved this trip and all the different activities we did throughout. The experience in the Nong Khuang village was definitely humbling, as it opened my eyes to a completely different way of life, making me appreciate the luxuries I enjoy. Also, contributing to the Eco Bungalow Project was an amazing opportunity, as I was able to contribute to a larger project that could potentially help the village and its people in the future. I would love to go on this trip again, and I would definitely recommend it. "
