"The experiences we’ve shared in Yaowawit were amazing, and I’m so thankful for the deep connections and tight bonds we’ve shared with everyone we came across this week. With every soccer match we played against the elementary and middle school students, every laugh we’ve shared amongst the people both in our DW group and the people in Yaaowawit, and every meal we drooled over, I would never take back anything. While the children in Yaowawit often have unimaginably unfortunate pasts, they are also some of the most cheerful and positive kids I've ever met. Although one of our main objectives in this trip was to help these children learn, they were the ones that taught us an important life lesson of how happiness isn’t dependent of our past, but of how we choose the see the present. I would highly recommend this trip, and it would be a privilege to go again."
